to all with fabrication skills

My '29 altered requires 1.75" .125" wall dom steel tubing. Unfortunately my tube bender only bends 1.5" or 2". If I build the cage in 2" will I still need to use .125" wall or could that be substituted for a thinner .083" or so??? My plans are for a 8 or 10 pt cage.
