COATING HEADERS

It deppends on how much you can spend..
I myself took just plain hookers headers. Used BBQ high temp paint, then used some spray header paint from Schucks with ceramic in it.. then luck for me I had accces to a Kiln to bake them in.. OH and I did have them sand blasted befor I painted them..
befor baking

after baking

They have changed back to a pail blue and have been on about 3yrs now and still look good.

COATING HEADERS

Hey, I'm not up at 6 in the morning!

Later!
Mr. Ed

Oh and by the way. The last time I did headers, I painted them orange to match the car. But I didn't get to put them in for three years and by that time the paint peeled off as soon as they got hot.

Its all in the prep.. Like I said I had them sandblasted first so the cheap paint from the factory was not a prob.

COATING HEADERS

I picked up a set of Hooker headers for my truck on scam-bay for $36. Then sent them off to airborn coatings for a full inside/outside coating.

I got some hedman headers that were coated from them, and after about 4.5 years they still look pretty good. There is a very small amount of rust starting to show through on a few edges, and my motor had a big oil leak that has one header coated with lots of black oil residue.

Tim,

You'll need to reload those pictures somewhere as an ex-reader is being immature and changing the images you hosted on his site.

you can also email the pics to me and I will load them onto our server.
thanks

HPC is the best coating IMHO, Jet hot burns too easy and turns the finish into a rough/dry finish at the first bends after the flanges where the heat is concentrated the most. HPC does not.
