Chris Uratchko of Uratchko Racing Engines has a beautiful (by the pictures) '69 Camaro with a 405 sbf. Pro King heads and has a 'chute in the back so I bet it runs some serious numbers. All motor as well. He must get some real funny reactions when the Chevy boys get their chest puffed up by his numbers and then find a sbf in it!

You can find him posting at yellowbullet.com.

I like the idea of certain GM chassis for the BBF, seems like an easier fit than the mid-size and smaller Fords. However, I might be inclined to select a Pontiac, Buick or an Oldsmobile for better fit and finish. If there is ever a buyer's market for muscle cars again I might be tempted to get a Trans Am and replace the 455 with a BBF for street entertainment.

Re: ford powered camaro

Little update on this one. My '53 F-100 became the priority and I was able to sell off the camaro for 2x what I paid, plus a 4cyl '92 notch, to put that 331 in. I still plan on some bastard vehicle, but I'm gravitating towards flatheads.

I took the blower off of the truck and put it on the stang. It's too much for me. I'll end up dead in a ditch!!!!

Re: ford powered camaro

That belongs to one of my roommates. I decided that when I had to crawl under that hunk of garbage to change the spark plugs, I would never own another Camaro.
