Re: ford powered camaro
There is a guy in Puyallup Washington that runs a nasty big block Mopar in a really beautiful 1955 Chevrolet sedan delivery. The car used to run at the old Puyallup drag strip in the early seventies when I was a teen. Last summer there was a car show at the mall on south hill in Puyallup and I spotted a car, that I thought looked just like it, so I proceeded to tell my hardcore Ford loving 17 year old son about the car from the seventies and how much I loved seeing a pay back engine in a Chev, all the while he was looking at me like I was full of sh_t. As we walked over to the car, I realized it was that very car, still clean as ever and still powered by a nasty BB Mopar, he even started it while we were standing next to it. I LOVED seeing it again, and my son just stood there staring at it in disbelief.
One thing worth mentioning is; There were very few Chev powered Chevs that the 55 sedan could not beat in the quarter, in those days at least.
