I've thought about trying to locate my old 240Z. I sold it in California. There is a form you can submit to the DMV records office in Sacremento where they can do a title search and give you registratio history. You need at least a licence plate # or vin to start. Some guys have had success with this. I don't know how it works in Colorado, though.
