Article on Mavericks

Wow, musta been the '70s for real with these color names. Didn't know they were called these.

The Maverick was offered in a variety of colors, all with unusual names. There were Original Cinnamon, Freudian Gilt, Thanks Vermillion, Anti-Establish Mint, Hulla Blue, and others.

The Maverick was Fords new Falcon. The Falcon was introduced to compete with the imports and to provide comfort and economy but seems they lost their way or intent as the car got bigger and bigger till they phased it out.
I love the Maverick lines and size, would like to get hold of one for a project car some day.
