Just for fun and a change of pace ... Pink Floyd Fans ... David Gilmour
big Gilmour/floyd fan here- Gilmour in my opinion is the greatest guitarist on earth, and I really dont think Pink Floyd ever woulda took off without him- not discounting the other members, they are all topnotch, but his guitar got them noticed...got to meet him back in 1988- he came out to see my 'pig bodied' rc helicopter- a hour before that a guy named Wayne Isham saw us outside, took us inside richfield coliseum to fly in front of the empty stage- was one cool day, topped off with front row tickets!
Scott Page was Sax player that year(I really think he's probably the best on sax ive ever heard- no offense to Dave Gilmour who also played sax on his latest album), he had a camcorder (actually scared me as he had like 4 foot long hair and walked right up to the hovering heli- yikes!), he taped the flying when they came outside to see it... I have contacted him a few times, last fall he still promised to get me a copy of that video he shot...he just started up a internet service called NEWMBC, and imagine stuff like 20 year old video aint the highest things on his priority list...was a really cool day for me though
My oldest Son was also born on Gilmour's 50th birthday- I thought that was cool.
I think the single 'island jam' that came with the 'on an island' CD from bestbuy was the highlight of the album...
why music may be kinda 'off topic' I cant imagine driving without it, so its as related to cars as garages and tools to me
