Packaging suggestions needed

I’m selling my cast iron cylinder heads and need suggestions on how to package them. Please provide pictures.

Thanks,
Chris

No PICs ... but I'd double box them ... tape the helk out of the inner box (strapping tape of something strong ... then insert that box into an slightly larger box with two to four inches of foam peanuts all around ... make sure outer box it taped well and send it off ... one head per package

Place the heads in a box and use expanding foam in garbage bags around them. Holds them in place great. Thats how my World iron heads were shipped to me. If lighty oil the heads if there is a small hole in the bag foam will not stick to the heads.

I could only imagine that the foam would be a mess to clean off the heads. I could see placing the heads in plastic and then spraying the expanding foam between the entire bag, inside of a box.
The expanding foam, is that the same as the expanding insulation in the compressed bottle?

i think he's saying spray the foam inside a garbage bag while the garbage bag is around the head. making molds basically, top/bottom or left/right, hwever you decide to split it.
Thats how my Vic jr. heads were shipped to me, something similiar

Yep - that way works really well. Put the heads both in a trash bag, seal it, put them in another trash bag, put in a box, fill the outer bag with foam. They may hate you trying to cut it open, but they'll thank you when the heads are in perfect shape.

Thanks for the help, I now feel pretty comfortable packaging and shipping these heads. I'll run to Menards tomorrow...
