Might also put this in the "all ford tech" section also. Might get more replies there.

30# injectors

You don't need 30# injectors at the level you are running.

Do an archive search for "injectors", there have been several discussions which pointed out the approximate horsepower range where injector upgrades "migh" be required.

There are even, several ways to "fudge" the parameters to allow standard HO (19lb) injectors to run on cars that are into 11 sec times on the 1/4.

However, unlike running a too big carb, you can probably get away with too much injector or too large a throttle body.

without any tweaking

19 will go to about 250 - 300
24 will go to about 300 - 350
30 will go to about 350 - 400
42 will go to about 400 +

* be sure your fuel lines are big enough and you have enough pump to match the fuel needs.

After that, you are looking at non-Ford (Bosch, Accel..etc) injectors or useing micro fuelers for wet supplemental fuel or running a second set of injectors that kick in at higher rpm.

The point is, at a certain level you either need to do indepth, personal research or hook up with a specialist. Theory seems to change every year or so.

Between the two sizes you mention - Theres no differecnce in fuel economy if thats what you are worried about. You might as well go 30 vs. the 24 if you are going to change them at all. That will give you room to grow in the future, and the computer will be able to controls the cycle of the 30# injector just as effictively as the 24# injector. You will not "bog" the engine down. I would not recommend going 'larger' than the 30# though. If you have already installed the 24#'s I say keep 'em

well when i first started I was misled all i had done to the truck was
the Edelbrock Performer Truck 5.0 intake, BBK Twin 61mm Throttle Bodie and 30# injectors and OMG did that suck hard
so i went to the 24# and the truck ran ok then I upgraded the MAF
to the C&L and it ran better.
But now I'm doing all that i have mentioned above and would like to use the 30s because the all the money i spent on them unless it wouldn't make a difference, All tho I will be upgrading the cam and heads in the future

well its like $30 for a different sampling tube for the C&L meter... do you have the one for the 30# already? If you dont and you already have the 24# installed, you could sell the 30#'s ...You probably dont need the 30# with engine config you describe
