A Really Cool Fairlane

Obnoxious? Come on J. A 66 Fairlane with a boss 429 with a big ass blower on it. Too big to sit between the valve covers. Plus, it was in Reynolds friggin Ga., not LA, or Vegas. Maybe if I saw this sort of thing every day, I wouldn't have been impressed.

You can tell by the sheen of the aluminum work that the fella that owns it really cares for it and has poured his heart into it. I share the pics with the folks on FM & some nimrod calls it obnoxious. I learned something today.

Of all the Nice car, awsome - etc. You only address the negative ones? In this world, there are people that ask why it worth "wasting" the energy to climb a mountain, sail around the world alone or sky dive. It's only a waste if you need someone to complement you for doing it. If you are doing it for yourself - it can't be explained and it doesn't need to be justified. Heck, I think Bill Gates makes too much money ... do you think that bothers him?

'Least that the way I see it.

Sorry Beowolf & sorry to the folks that gave the Fairlane the thumbs up. You're absolutely right on that point. I jumped the gun.

But none-the-less, the internet & the anonymity it offers does strange things to people. Folks will say things things to one another online that they wouldn't dream of saying to another person face to face. That's what chaps my azz. My parents always said "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all".

Once again, you make a valid point. Next time, I won't direct my tyraid (sp) at one of 11 posters.

I think I saw that car on TV the other day. Maybe Outdoor Channel or something that was broadcasting highlights from a NMRA event.

My goodness! You just said it perfectly! Couldn't be said better even though the old timers in here might think I couldn't be capable of saying that to Beoweolf in the garage section.
