A Really Cool Fairlane

Here are a couple of pictures I took back in April (I think) at the NMRA event in Reynolds, Ga. I spoke with the owner & he said that Moody, in Atlanta, built the engine. He claims it generates over 800 hp with only 6 lbs. of boost. Was a very clean car.

I just today figured out how to resize pictures without cropping them.

I was so overwhelmed by the blower, I didn't even take notice it sitting on a Boss 429 the first time I looked.

That just moved everything up a notch.

Nothing like a blower set up sitting higher than the roof......and a Boss 9 too!

Am I the only one that thinks that's obnoxious?

The car itself looks like a cruiser with that rim and tire. The motor says I'm all drag racing. I think that's what may seem obnoxious. Throw some skinnies and slicks on there and it wouldn't seem obnoxious or strange at all IMHO.

Fords do have the front mount distributor. Either a high rise manifold or a pretty thick spacer is needed to get it above the cap. Might be one of the reasons Blowers never caught on with the Ford camp.
