Shelby Mustang Supersnake

The new Shelby Mustang Supersnake is the most awesome streetcar I can remember since the 426 Hemi cars.Boasting 725 HP with supercharger.Of course at a sale price of $214,000.00 most of us will never experience that brute torque. Never the less it is one bad to the bone machine. The photos at the Supersnake web site are fantastic.

Muscle cars don't have six-figure price tags... period.

Sooo, what are the specs? 0-60? 1/4? Braking, cornering? I wouldn't be surprised if the Z06 still wins out. Seems like all people really care about is HP anymore.

Actually Mike, the things work pretty well. It's an impressive car, and properly prepped (meaning the right kinds of tires basically) I'd give it the nod over a Ford GT in almost every performance aspect...including a road course. Possibly even against the GT1. They're definitely impressive. And for that price tag...they need to be.

Unfortunately though, tis just another Eleanor Fooseball knockoff if you ask me. Although...I'd crown this one King of the Eleanor Fooseball knockoff's.

Here is link I found, has some nice pic's, but dang $214k is that right. I didn't see any pricing info on the few sites i looked at. With that much power it better run 11's on street tires and out perform a Z06, at least in a straigh line. Maybe they will drop some weight as well.

might be some confusion here...Unique is building 1967 style Supersnakes, but Shelby is also producing a new gt500KR this year, and theres an optional Supersnake upgrade available...the 2007/8 KR is 550~600 hp with warranty, the Supersnake will be 735 hp, but NO warranty...base shelby is like 41,000, the KR is rumored to be coming in at 67-ish, the SS upgrade, rumored 10k over that...80k, plus 20~50k dealer 'market adjustment' (aka rape) will put them well into 6 figures...

I hate how they put the words investment next to the price tag. That just means "will never be driven ever". What a boring waste that would be.
