My fellow Americans, I have not been entirely truthful with you. I did gagoogity that girl. I gashmoigitied her gaflavity with my googis. And I am sorry.
There have been quite a few Falcon GTs taken over to the US over the years, ever since Mad Max.
Don't worry Cal, we've pinched more of your cars than you can imagine.
Not to mention Harleys......

danv: Just out of curiousity how much are the ship fees to get a car from here to there.Calspec
From what people have told me, it's around $3,000AU or so.
Maybe more.
That's from the west coast, if not, you gotta transport it, which costs more.
Then when it gets here, there is another $1,000 or more on various duties etc.
Customs can be arseholes, and can make it real hard.

Whats the exchange rate??? if its around that in american, its not so out of line, im not sure what the price of cars are there compared to american, but i would def pay the extra $3000 to have that bad a$$ 390hp 5.4l plus something completly different than anybody in the area has. I dont think i would do very well shifting with my left hand.
Is there any legal problems driving the left drive cars on american roads??
As a matter of interest, it's a well known fact here, but probably not so in the US, but Perth has more Harleys per capita, than anywhere else in the world!

Sharpshot, that price is an absolute minimum.
People who bring them in to Australia usually get 4 cars into a 40 foot container, by making some sort of racking. That way, the costs are kept as low as possible.
Exchange rate is 85c to $1 US.
Also, that is for shipping from US to Aust. Probably different the other way.
Don't forget that there are importers in the US who specialize in getting Aussie cars. Best to talk with them. I've Googled it, and all the Aussie cars in the US still are right hand drive, so it appears it's not a problem over there.

im only 18... things will be much much different by the time i could ever afford that, not gasoline cars but what can you do, i wish that would be an option for my now, i bet you would get a ton of looks from everybody. I bet ill be 30 before i buy a new vehicle, and it wont be a bad a$$ car, it will either be a nice truck(kinda like them) or some family $hit... (minivan) maybe ill buy an old wagon, but those will all be snatched up.
