Calling Chicago Old Timers
Back in my prime I bought a good many parts from the three major mail order sources - J.C.Whitney & Co.,Warshawsky & Co. & Honest Charley's.The only reason I bought from them was because they sold items that the local parts houses didn't have.
Like the under dash 45 RPM record player I bought in 1967 for my 1962 Studebaker Silver Hawk (not a Ford but it did have a 289 cubic inch engine in it)to accent the AM factory radio.
J.C.Whitney & Co. & Warshawsky & Co. were both located in Chicago,Ill.and they both had the same address.I often wondered if they were the same outfit sending out two catalogs. If any of you Chicago old timers can shed any light on this subject I would appreciate it. Calspec
