Why does that Red Car have 427 painted on the side....?

Did you get a look inside the engine compartment?

It has 427 horsepower. It's another brain child of Jack Roush built Mustangs.

I seen a 2007 Corvette that had it's HP painted on the side of it too.....

It said 500. But that is with Chevy horses. Does that equate to 200 Ford Horses?

I think advertizing the power on the car, would deter would be stop light racers from making a challenge.

But knowing it is more then a 4000 Pound car with 427 HP, to me means my meager 380 hp in a 3000 pound car would be a good race...

Anyone know if that 427 HP would break that car into the 12's?

In a race such as you have laid out you could possibly hurt this guys feelings.

Maybe your right Calspec.... Last thing I want to do is show up another driver and his vehical... That's just not nice....

I would like to take this moment to appologize for all the stop light races I have been part of in the last 30 years. I never realized all the hurt I have been dishing out...

Depends on what kind of a person he is (427 HP guy) or they were (your defeated foes). Sure seems to me that the 427 HP guy would be looking for a few more "ponies" after the above mentioned encounter.

Easily.

You can get a minor bolt-on 05-07 Mustang GT into the 12's. They come with 300hp stock.

4000 pound car, 300 HP... in the 12's....??

Maybe high 13's and would not be easy. Unless the minor add on you mention is a 120 HP nox.
