Movie Memories

Any movies that you have seen that remind you of a particular time in your past or present?

American Graffiti certainly reminds me of the cruise scene in Charleston,S.C. on Hwy. North 52 in the early sixties.

Christine without a doubt reminds me of me in the sixties. I talked to my car all the time & the radio had a habit of coming on any time it felt like it.

The Batmobile on Batman reminds me of the 1962 Studebaker Silver Hawk I drove for a while.

Re: Movie Memories

Before Christine ever came out I hated walking in front of my car in the dark, up close to it was fine but a little distance away... I felt like it was watching me and going to run me down any minute. Then Christine came out and that didn't help my phobia a bit! LOL
I know I've seen movies that I could relate to because of my own past but for some reason I'm drawing a complete blank. Other than "Cars" where Mater and Lightning went out tractor tipping. It wasn't the tractor tipping itself but the running for dear life laughing so hard you can't run and thinking you're going to die cause something is after you when there isn't.
When I was a kid around 10 or 12 we all used to ride our horses to an area at the bend of the creek that had a deep spot to swim in. The water wasn't clear so no way you could see the bottom and we'd wet the banks and make them all muddy so we could slide into the swimming hole. The only way out of there was up that bank or you had to walk a certain area down the creek to the other shore area on the opposite side.
I got the bright idea when i saw some little minnows swimming near the top of the water to yell PIRAHNA! and chaos ensued! Even though we all knew there was no pirahnas we got caught up in the game and was screaming and pulling roots out of the bank that we had muddied trying to get out of the water and the whole time just laughing like we were insane. We'd finally wind down or come to our senses and things would get back to normal again except to think of what one or the other of us had done and laugh some more. Fun times.
Shoot years later swimming at a place we called "the rock slides" the water was so clear you could see the bottom and I'd had a few brewskies. I was on my way out of the water and noticed the cute little fishies. At first they were cute until too many were after my toes and then it was flash back time! Laughing and trying to get the heck out of that water before I became fish food!
