New member as of yesterday. Very impressed with the information on this site. I just bought a 1965 Falcon Ranchero Futura. 289, .040 over, 650cfm Edelbrock, RPM Air Gap intake, mild cam, electric fan, shorties, 2" duals w/ glasspacks, C4, and factory a/c.
Being only 27, this is my first classic car. I refused to buy one before I could afford "to do it right". I grew up going to shows, cruises, and drags with my family. The car has been my grandma's show car (yes, my grandma's car) for the last 13 years. She bought it restored, but I've spent many hours working on the car for her. When the time came, I just had to have it. It's a show winning car, but not a trailer queen. I plan on putting many more miles on it driving to shows and cruises.
To-do list: 17" wheels, RPM heads, cam, rollers, 2200+ stall converter, 3.55 or higher gears, and full air suspension.
I'll post some pictures so there's something to look at.
