My Local Ford Dealers Employee Let Me Down

When I bought my '07 Stang the dealer agreed to change the oil,filter & balance the tires for free for sixty thousand miles.

I recently took the car in for its first service.It took about an hour and they delivered the car up front.When I went to get in the car there was a greasy hand print on the upper door panel.The scuff plate had grease on it as well as the carpet,clutch pedal & steering wheel.

Needless to say I was just a little bit upset when I jumped down the service writers throat.I wanted to see the lube guy right then.The service writer wouldn't let me see the culprit,but agreed to send the car back to the clean up department and to have a word with the lube guy himself.

Another one hour wait for cleanup.I don't call it a free service if you have to wait two hours.My time is valuable to me.

I agree totally with you. Dealerships are not what they should be, and need a shake up. Service is poor.

That really sucks, but it could be a lot worse.

One of my good friends was the GM of a dealership for a while, and his family owns close to a dozen dealerships in Texas & Oklahoma. Several years back a girl I went to college with took her car in for some routine work, only to have one of the mechanics take it out for a "test run" and total it and another car by running through a stop sign at speed into crossing traffic. The mechanic wasn't hurt, but both cars were totaled & the people in the other car were scraped up pretty badly.

Sorry Cal. I go through GREAT PAINS to avoid greasing up a customers car. 1969Scode amd GCHERO will tell you that I am one FILTHY BASTAGE when I am working, and it's very very hard for me to keep clean. But I NEVER got any customers car greasy in the inside.
