Plus, some 'Training Wheels' for the back of that car might save you a LOT of work in the future... Could have kept the Pinto from dying a glorious death.
Good Luck!

You're right Mike, these are smaller engine bays than the '65-'66 Mustangs. I think it may be smaller than a '61-'63 Falcon but I have no proof, no way of knowing and nothing to compare it to.
I plan on making the front strong enough to handle hard landings but not a full slam from lifting off the throttle. Nothing can take or absorb that kind of hit.
No training wheels, just "MoneyMaker" Alex style launches for the thrill. I will build it for better wheels up stability, control, and consistency so it launches the same on a less than ideal track as it does on a killer prep track.
Unfortunately, I was afraid of the headers being made of unobtainium. Heidts or any other MII front suspension is out of the question. I was hoping for headers that would fit or almost fit that I can modify a little. I guess at this point, 1 5/8" primaries would work but hurt power.
This is suppose to be a cheap yet effective build with little time or money spent. Mainly swap out drive-train, 9" rear, Cal-Tracs, Qa-1 shocks, all gauges, and exhaust system from the Pinto and move the leafs inboard so 29x10.5x15 MT ET Drags will fit. Mount Lexan in 3 doors, tailgate, and glass in driver door, mount Pinto seats, and build it to pass and be certified down to 8.50 (using nitrous this time). The Pinto was just a weak chassis that needed the frontend reinforced. Reminds me of "bad chicken"
