Unique Performance Shut Down?
I read on another site where all of the cars in Unique Performance's shop were impounded because they took $7 million in deposits on cars that were never delivered. Does anyone know if this is true. They were the business in Dallas,Tx. building cars for Carol Shelby, by the way.

I've never liked the Shelby thing... The car's look neato with the stripes adn stuff, but I'd rather build my own engines and paint my own stripes than buy his crap....

I didn't really see anything official...but this site seems to have a few of their unhappy customers. Imagine dropping over $100,000 grand on your car as a deposit, and then still waiting almost 2 years and still not seeing any progress. 
Like FE says, I'd rather do it myself...may not be "official", but it would be done, and done my way...without waiting two years and being out over $100,000!
I can just imagine what I could do with $100,000...I could have a few cars I've always dreamed of...not just one!

Sounds like an excuse for not producing the cars on time. How can an engine problem create a 12 month increase in production time? Simply put, it can't. Somebodys full of $hit.

How can you put $200,000 in a restored mustang. Someone is making some big bucks. "take the money and run" I don't believe they are paying the illegals that big a salary.

I really dont see how you spend 250,000US on a restoration.... christ, just go and buy a FORD GT.
