What cool things have you found in old cars?

Reading some of the other interesting threads in the Garage got me to thinking about what you have found either cleaning or restoring cars that you own or have owned. While tearing apart the interior of my '65 fastback a few years ago I found an oil change receipt from April,1966 for $5.95, several coins from the 60's and a high school graduation tassel from 1971.

I got $1.35 out of mine and the oldest coin was from 1982. Just enough for a cup of coffee! I thought I would find older stuff but I guess it was gone through before.

A lot of garbage and like Deadhorse I seem to loose a lot of money in them somewhere.

box cutter, old registration, snap on 3/8" drive ratchet, lots of junk parts, and a few that might live...

Almost two dollars in change, points and condenser, a wrench, mail including bills, two golden hoop earrings and a dull steak knife.

That was just the front seat. Haven't removed the back seat yet. Might find who belongs to the earrings and the knife.

I found an early 1900s silver dollar jammed in the seat recliner mechanism of a Pinto, a 65 license plate for my galaxie in a 66 custom, several honest to God old oil CANS, bullets, and some dead squirrel mummies.

When I got my '54 sedan in '95, I found its' original 1954 license plate stuffed behind the spare tire. The plate is legally back on the car, as my state allows YOM plates to be used

I'm not participatin' in this here ho-down... I had me over 50 car's in my life and found enough stuff in them to build another 3 or 4...

What could be just as interesting, is what you've found in your customer's cars, and didn't tell them.
