Re: What Would You Do If You Won $164,000,000
I'd build a drag strip with a huge modern shop and then test and tune the rest of my life with my buddies.
I've had a dream just like that...

Re: What Would You Do If You Won $164,000,000
I started this thread and I haven't even said what I'd do yet. To all of those people on this forum and other forums who have shown me a little respect I would Fed Ex $100,000 each immediately. To those who have made it a point to bust my chops I would snail mail $1.00 with affection & forgiveness.

Re: What Would You Do If You Won $164,000,000
I'd pay off all my close families debts, help a few of my close friends out, and then I'd head back to the old family homestead in Texas and rebuild the house my dad started when I was little. Nothing fancy or extravagant, but it'd have solar panels, a well & cisterns that collect rainwater, and a wind generator. I'd build a decent shop and finish the work on all my current & pending car projects.
And yes, there's a few people here that I'd probably send a few bucks to.

Re: What Would You Do If You Won $164,000,000
Please don't get the wrong idea from my other post. I'm not THAT selfish. It sounds as if I'd just run through the money with no regard for anyone else. The homes in Fla. and NY would be comparable to the one that I own now which is modest. I hate the cold, so a warm place to spend the winter would be great. I'd give my left arm to have a shot at the DIRT modified deal because I've always had to run a low buck racing operation. Unless I fell into a bunch of money, it'll never happen. My son-in-law works for Pizza Hut and is in the National Guard. He, my daughter and granddaughter don't have much, so I'd rather put him to work as the team manager rather than give them a big handout. They'd be too proud to accept one anyway. But I would want to ensure my granddaughter Waldo's future. But our family business would be racing.
I have no family except for my roommate and her two adult kids. All would be involved in my racing biz and would be taken care of well. In fact, my "man" Rob, age 28 would be racin' and wrenching along with me. But I have a ton of friends, Deb included that I'd want to help. And no, Cal, I wouldn't expect any money if you won. I'd rather see you healthy...

Re: What Would You Do If You Won $164,000,000
Well, her mother thought that she named her Katherine Marie, but this kid was born with no hair and really didn't grow much of it until she was over a year old. So *I* renamed her Waldo the Baldo and it stuck. But yeah, there are some interesting minds at work in my family. This ain't Brady Bunch Land.. After my daughter was born, one of my friends in the Brothers Regime outlaw scooter club baby sat her for a couple of hours a day as a fill in until I got home from work as one example.
