Re: Loud Sigh from Murff's House

Helk, we should cruise in to some place locally. Are you south or north of Honest? Isn't Shotrod south of Tacoma? I knew Spali was in the Puyallup area. I havent had a chance to chat with Flat32 yet.

When I was a kid we used to cruise Big Daddy's in Auburn. Where are people curising to now?

Re: Loud Sigh from Murff's House

Big Daddy's used to be the place, but Flat32 went down there last Friday night and there was nuthin' going on. Maybe too early in the season? Not sure.

Been a while since I was part of the cruise scene. Used to hit Big Daddy's, Sub Shop in Burien (Classy Chassis Car Club), XXX in Issaquah, Mega-Foods in Tacoma. Just don't know the where is and who is any more.

My car of course is not ready to go out yet, and it is race only so getting to the drive-in might be a bit troublesome.

I did talk to The Totally Awesome Missus Murff about this last night, tho'. It's a little early for us as well (not quite prepped for summer entertaining) but we were thinking of offering up our place for a gathering. We've done this sort of thing before so the neighbors are already used to it, bless 'em.

We have hosted waffle & screwdriver breakfasts, afternoon BBQ's, and dancing to live music in the garage, so any one of these is a distinct possibility.

Ours is not a huge or lavish house, but we like people and cars so having folks over pleases us.

Maybe something in the June - July time frame?

Re: Loud Sigh from Murff's House

Let me know when. I will try and show up. Summer is kind of nuts for me.

I really don't know about any of the cruises that go on around here any more. Isn't there a cruise in Coveington? When does that start?

Re: Loud Sigh from Murff's House

First weekend in August huh... man I'd like to make it, we'll just have to wait and see. I haven't heard of Vintiques before, but I just googled it and it looks like a pretty big event! I'll have to see if I can convince the wife to let me and a couple friends bring our "hot rods" over there for the weekend

edit: was just looking at the entry form, no vehicles manufactured after 1972, d'oh! Guess that means there's no sense in bringing the Ranger...

Re: Loud Sigh from Murff's House

We are all neighbors and didn't even know it. We will definitely have to have to BBQ it up sometime this summer or do the breakfast thing. cccdjb(Curtis) is 2-3 miles from me. He's the closest neighbor I know of on this forum....
