One of the FM Family has passed

Just talked to her friend in Ohio and had to ask her age. Even though we had both discussed age many times over the years. She would of been 58 in Nov.

I met her on the "twisted" galaxie list in 2001 then LoveFords yahoo group after that. She had actually told me of the LF site and she told me of this place about a week or two after joining here. So we chased each other around the Ford forums so to speak.

I'll miss her greatly. I don't believe her or her family realized how influential she was on these boards.

Thats what I thought, I swore she posted she was 57 somewhere and thats not that old. Well hopefully theres a nice galaxie starliner for her to go cruisin in, I thought she mentioned she liked those too.

The way my mind works she was probably 52 when we met and the years flew by before I knew it. She'd probably appreciate the forgetfulness on that aspect.

We need to send a card with all of our handle names and real names on it. Can we do that?

I knew she was 57 because I joked with her that hearing her name made me think of a 57 chebby.
I have only known her since I joined FM and have had a few PM's and even a Phone call or two...

I was going to send her the rear bumper off my 64 Gal for her 64 as soon as I got it to Washington....

I'm going to miss the Jan I knew most, the Troubleshooting and Story Telling TbirdChick.

That's a cool idea. I wonder if there's a way to do that like an online card or something as a chain email thing would only work if we all knew each others emails. Good thought though.

If anyone wanted to send a card or anything they could email me for the address as i don't think it would be good to broadcase. Robin isn't a computer person either so emails won't work unless someone wanted to send one and I could print it out and mail it to her. A few had mentioned contributions to the cause. I'm still trying to get in touch with her partner Robin to see if I can get more info. I do know she didn't want any kind of services which is the kind of person she was, forget the fanfare etc and she wanted to be cremated. Her 64 Custom will be going to it's new home, her good friend Jeff as she had always told us both that if anything happened to her she wanted him to have Ellwood.

As for any other info I don't have anything at this time. I'll keep you all informed. I have tried to remember all the boards she frequented fairly regularly so that I could notify the friends she made there. Hopefully I got the main ones but I know there is a circle track one somewhere and don't remember the name of it. I did go to cooks, the HAMB, here and of course her friend Jeff already notified our own yahoo group. If anyone knows of the others please give them a holler or let me know and I can do it.

deb-- maybe just give you our names and handles-- you write them on a card -- send it along when you get all the names-- could set a time limit to get the names to ya -- like 2 weeks--
