Re: ATTN: Junk-Yardies

Forgive my lack of understanding this thread. You need a part. You walk into your local scrap yard and ask them to go on the teletype and locate said part and price it. Fairly easy to do unless you want someone to give you the part out of the goodness of their heart.

Re: ATTN: Junk-Yardies

Hold on now Cal, I believe he needs this seat part off of an SHO which is a a bit more hard to come by. Not to mention, I bet the yards will only list it off of a Taurus not an SHO.

Re: ATTN: Junk-Yardies

It's like this buddy ol pal... THe Yards here are PICK & PULL yards. ONLY about $5 bucks cheaper on average than going to the local Parts Store

Anyhow, there is no longer any good yards near (within 70 miles) that utilise the old Press the button and Holler Parts finder/Locator...

P&P is strictly walk and take, no inventory...

Let me give you an idea of what I see happening.

#1 - I drive thirty miles to the nearest scrapyard.

#2 - I find the seats you are looking for or the teletype finds them.

#3 - I drive thirty miles back home.

#4 - I post where you can get them.

#5 - You call and the price is too high or they tell you they won't sell parts off of a seat. You have to buy the entire seat.

#6 - You end up not buying the seats.

#7 - I have driven sixty miles at my expense and wasted 1 1/2 hours of my time.

Sorry buddy. I've been there and done that.

That damn 61 with the bench seat is CRAMPED, but with the buckets, ANYONE can fit in it!
There is now LOADS of room for people in front and in the back

So you mean to get you're drawers back on you can now straighten your legs out between the seats instead of trying to do it with cramped up legs in the back?

Well that's if you don't have the privacy to just fling the door open and stick them out the door anyway. LOL
