Re: Honda set to release first Hydrogen powered cars!
ANd it's supposed to be ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY????
""""""""
Critics also point out that hydrogen is costly to produce and the most common way to produce hydrogen is still from fossil fuels.
Analysis of the environmental impact of different fuel technologies has shown that the overall carbon dioxide emissions from hydrogen powered cars can be higher than that from petrol or diesel-powered vehicles. 'Monumental step' """"""""""""""""""
More expensive and still dependant on DINOSAURS!
What's so goddamn monumental about this?

Well, since you seem content to be a follower of right wing spin, I will state the obvious; the process of procuring Hydrogen fuel will no doubt evolve as funding and science is applied in massive amounts to the fundamental question of how to harness the most plentiful fuel in the Universe. This, in a capitalist economic system, will only occur after the need for such a process is created by the new engines. By pushing a Hydrogen power car out into the market and eventually proving that the technology is sound, the wheels of capitalism will be set into motion and almost magically billions of dollars will be dedicated worldwide to devising new ways to procure the Hydrogen. The Japanese, and no doubt the Chinese, will take the lead with this technology, as they have no oil reserves. Meanwhile, the West with a failed and outdated "supply side" economic model and broken down industries, will disintegrate into the new second world. Well, that may not happen yet, because the West will probably start an oil war with the East in order to try and extend its Empire.

Re: Honda set to release first Hydrogen powered cars!
They had info at the Borax factory in CA on the building and testing of hydrogen powered cars but that was about 3 yrs ago. Haven't really heard a lot about it since then.
I didn't realize that borax had so many uses! From laundry to plastics.

Started out a little weak, got stronger in the middle, and then wilted miserably at the end.

Re: Honda set to release first Hydrogen powered cars!
You seem to believe I follow a right wing spin (not that I have a damn clue as to what that is...) But I'm only pissed at the praise of this miracle production of a hydrogen car that don't have emissions like NOX and Hydrocarbons and crap but it dos put out MORE carbon Dioxide than a fossil fuel powered engine and it still relies on fossil fuels to creat it's fuel...
There, I've said it twice but used diffrent words the second time
I thing there should be NO PRAISE for a hydrogen powered vehicle until it is TRUELY a non emission vehicle... Last I checked, carbon dioxide kills people pretty efficiently when concentrated, but it's good for the trees....
There I go being a smart ass without any knowledge to back myself up... Sorry, but If you want green make something fully green....
I phucking hate the word "Green" sometimes....

Re: Honda set to release first Hydrogen powered cars!
Solar powered hydrogen generators using sea water as a "fuel". No fossil fuels needed. This does not solve the CO2 issue.
I am going to use up my "fair" share of the earth before I expire and let my kids figure out why mine and previous generations did this to them. Ah the American way.

Not "the American" way CW, it's "THE HUMAN" way....
Everyone but the Buck Buck Boy's in Assie outback are doing it... And they fart too

Re: Honda set to release first Hydrogen powered cars!
Burning hydrogen can't make CO2 since unlike fossil fuels, there's no Carbon molecules. However, Hydrogen can still cause issues since its main emission is water vapor, it can cause actual harm to the climate, more so than what CO2 can or will.
