Is premium gasoline on the way out ? Sales of the good stuff are steadily declining.

God I hope not. If anything, they should make higher octanes available so that more efficient, higher compression engines can make it to the market.

I remember as a teen in the late 70s resenting how I could no longer buy premium at any cost; We had to buy aviation fuel.

It's just pressure - release, fascism.

The story writer is full of crap.. he says that a car that says to use premium well run just as well on regular?
Thats Crap...
I know my truck runs like crap on the cheap stuff.

My sons '03 Mach 1 will run on regular if the computer is reprogramed, however the horsepower & torque drop considerbly.

Funny you bring this up, "ultra 94" used to be around $.40 more a gallon that 87 octane, now its within $.25 a gallon. Seems we were getting "HOSED" all along!

I don't even see Ultra 94 anymore. Sunoco around me only goes up to 93 now...
