i worked as a metal polisher for 10 years when i was younger at an electroplating company and the majority of our work was bumper repair,and IMO that bumper is totally fixable mate

You are probably right. Hopefully cheaper to buy a used core and have it replated than to fix my bumper.
I will check with the chrome shop when the insurance dust settles.

yes itll definitely be cheaper to get a core replated,but if you cant find one,yours will be fine to be repaired..
BTW-i love that wheel combo youve got and im ordering a set for my 69 aussie xw falcon wagon.

I found a nice bumper on craigs list and the seller is working on getting it shipped.
I have gotten real lucky so far with my parts search and found everything I need.
I have Hagerty insurance and so far they are great. They said I could get the car fixed just about any way or anywhere I want and just save all reciepts so they can reimburse me, even for shipping costs.
