Brain enhancing Drugs for academics = OK, no - very good
Gaming the system in business = Standard Operating procedure

I am no Pollyanna nor expect a "standard of perfection"... I live in the real world, I know this stuff happens. What I can't understand is the overwhelming almost fanatic reaction that average people, even the Feds get all worked up over when something is revealed when it comes to Sports doping. Isn't "Fair is Fair" the rule? If its "Fair" for Nerds to pop pills that allow them to study all night cramming for an exam, or take something that allows their brain to focus better, enhance speed of cognitive thought processes...blah, blah, blah! Who cares?

Why the double standard for Sports? Matter of fact, what’s with the legal “mechanically aided” amputee running against able bodied athletes’? Genetics vs. mechanics vs. chemicals?

Not so much bored...as tired of all the hair splitting that passes for intellegent thought.

It's a knee jerk reaction... just like the zero tolerance weapons ban at school where a kid gets expelled for taking a 1/2" plastic keychain to school because it's shaped like a gun or getting a body cavity search at the airport because you tried to take a fingernail clipper on board. Crap.... coming back from Iraq I got detained in Kuwait because I had a keychain made out of a .50 bullet... not the entire case mind you... just the bullet part.... what am I gonna do, throw it at someone? They acted like I spit on the Koran or something ( a very bad thing there) By the way.... if you fly on a european airline and your destination ISNT the US you get a METAL knife fork and spoon to eat with not a plastic spork. If flying into the US you get the spork due to US regulations. anyway... not trying to hijack the thread... the circumstances are similar....one person screws up so some idiot in charge makes a blanket "zero tolerance" policy to cover even the absurd.

There can't be any tolerance for cheating period. No one on this forum seems to like a thief, so why would anyone tolerate cheating, they are one and the same.

I'd have to say that one of the most ridiculous drug "offenses" in sports was when they took away (then gave back) Ross Rebagliattis Snowboarding medal because he tested positive to THC.............come on now, the only way it can help an athlete perform would be if everyone EXCEPT Rebagliatti was high, then he would have the advantage. But anyone who's smoked pot knows that all you wanna do is sit around and chill.......and smoke more.....and eat......what were we talking about agin??? ....eating or something.......oh right smoking weed and sports...cough cough....not a good mix, besides, screws up yer lungs.

And all of this can be blamed on the media really. I mean, they're the ones who make all the money blowing up ridiculous crap like that instead looking out for the bigger offenders like meth labs and crack shacks. I mean, stop with the paparatzi crap with the celebrity who ...............hmmmmm I'm gonna stop now or this could end up being a looooooong rant
