Re: Ford Brings Back The CobraJet

If there was a war then i'm sorry to say but apart from the high end models (GT500KR) ford is a bit behind on the times. Particularly if you note the v6 in the mustang and the v6 for the camaro. The v6 for the camaro will have 300hp, and the camaro will most likely weigh about the same as the stang.

Even worse ford (last i heard at least) has trashed the new engine line ideas and is planning a twin turbo v6 to put out the same amount as the v8??? wow they're gonna wow us with something other manufacturers are doing with an NA six.

We can only hope there is a war so that ford will become competitive again from the factory, not after we hop up the car .

Mostly what you are saying is speculation. We don't really know whats going to happen to any of the american cars or companies yet. They all put out little tidbits of information to spark our imagination and try to keep us interested until they figure out how they're going to stay in business. With all of the financial businesses folding these car companies are probably sweating bullets. All we can do is hang around & see what eventually happens.

I wouldn't buy a car with a fake gas cap no matter what it was.

Re: Ford Brings Back The CobraJet

Camaro is going to weight more thanks to IRS. However, the Camaro is serious since it's using the DI 3.6L Caddy CTS engine. As for Ford, the 4.0 is old and the 3.5/3.7 is suppose to replace it, don't know when though (and the Cyclone V6 engine already make close to 300 hp). As for the V8, Ford isn't stupid. They'll probably have an Ecoboost option but they are throwing the Boss engine in too, so don't worry. Just hope they keep the solid axle instead of IRS.
