Looks good to me.
About the chambers....I've read some porters don't like the chambers that shiny because it can allow fuel to fall out of suspension IE more torque and better mixture with a slightly textured, satiny surface. I personally don't know which is better - satin finish or polished. I understand the polished will reflect a bit more heat, thereby making more power but...

Check this out - great website that's been around awhile.

Anybody else care to add on this topic?

Well I have heard many people say to polish and many say not to do it. There is ups and downs to both ways though maybe I should give the upper of the chamber a satiny surface and lower a mirror polish What do you guys think should i try half and half ?

polish it man, the mixture is so turbulend in the chamber you arn't having any fuel fall out of suspension, thats why a lot of head porters leave the intake ports rough and then gradually polish them smoother and smoother as they enter the intake valve cause the intake velocity is also increasing, this is super common on harley drag engines, polishing the combustion chamber is probably only worth a tiny bit, but hey, its free labor and every bit counts! polish away

Actually most loss of flow/velocity is around the valve & in the chamber................

I can tell you from wet flowing that rougher chamber walls help keep the fuel atomized. I have seen many high end heads and they all are rough. I recommend finishing the chamber with a blue stone, or 80 grit. Its not so much the finish as what the finish does...it holds carbon better an the carbon layer actually helps build power!

When I get back to the heads I am going to take some 80 grit to them.
That does make sense the roughness would help for better atomization of fuel and air. If you think about it on the polished ones, The fuel would just run down and fall on to the top of the pistions, Were as with the rough walls the fuel would slow down trying to go over the texture and at this point the moving air through the chamber would cause the fuel to take the less restrictive route, Sucking it into the air and off the walls causing Atomization (Mixing of fuel and air)

Thanks
Richard
