2.3 turbo head

anyone ever ported one? I just scored one...$5 from the scrap metal place, looks good (no cracks that I can see). I hear that they respond well to porting, but I have no idea where to start grinding.

Also thinking about 1.89/1.59 undercut valves too. Wonder where I can find those?

If your going to do it yourself, I suggest looking at the chamber for flow. The short turn need laying back quite a bit, but be carefull as some short turns are not as thick as others. We do a few down here since Cajon dirt track closed and I have seen very good results using the correct cam with those engines.

Make sure you have it checked at a machine shop for cracks between the valves. These heads are notorious for that. Especially the turbos.
