Porting E7\'s without machine work

I am purchasing a set of E7's that are ready to bolt on. My question is can I port these heads and avoid having to take them in to a machine shop afterwards? What gasket would I use as a template? This will be a carb set up. Any recommendations on intake manifold?

What particular type of porting are you attempting> I'd get stock intake and exhaust gaskets first off.... Do your work within those tolerances in the beginning.

I am just trying to get a advantage over stock. Nothing really radical.

Smooth the intake short turn, unshroud the valves in the chamber, widen the ex. port from the bowl out, and make sure your intake port opening is bigger than the intake manifold opening.

you have a PM
also you must!!!! remove the valves and make sure you clean the guides real good before you re-install the valves and seals.

just do the exhaust side at first and if you feel up to it start on the intake
