what to do with EGR cross over??

What do I do with the exhaust port that has the cross over passage to the intake? Can I seal it up? weld, braze??? Is it ok the way that it is?? This is on the 289 heads that I am talking about in this thread

what to do with EGR cross over??

Weld it closed, then form the weld. Doesn't make a huge difference in flow though. Been a few years since I did any early heads, but if I remember right there was only a few CFM difference between welded and un-welded.

just port it like it wasn't there....

I would think twice about welding it............

I hate the way FM screws with the pics.....Must have to be a given size to look right....only here is it like that..........
