Check out these fe heads

The heads are from 1962 era fes . A B head is probably a 406 ? Anyway I am wandering if the way they have made ports so large will they truely be worth the time to buy and if they would out proform a 6090-N scj head ? They have the large valves installed .

Looks like a hack job to me, you need to watch velocity and port sizing / Valve sizing to get a head to perform. BIGGER DON'T MEAN BETTER.

I be curious to see the actual flow number and see how lazy the are.

I have ported 3 sets of fe heads.c0 c2 c3 by far the best thinf you can do is exhaust bowel work and a good 3 angle valve job. Large ports kill torque, preformer rpm intake and a good cam will wake up your fe

Yeah... Those heads look to need about 5,500 rpms just to begin making power...

Re: Check out these fe heads

What bothers me is that they, from all visual indications, really lowered the short side floor...this can totally kill flow. Raising the roof...yes. Lowering the floor...no.

Re: Check out these fe heads

It looks to me like they started with 390 "high-rise" heads and butchered them to the point where they hit water jackets. Then they tried to repair them by having them welded up. I wouldn't touch them. They look like junk.
