porting my preformer rpm

I have a set of afr 205's is it worth porting my preformer rmp or should I just go to the airgap? my problem is the shaker hood fits with the rpm, and with air gap I will have to mod the hood hole. what do you guys think?

Re: porting my preformer rpm

The RPM and the air gap have exactly the SAME PORTS-- No differance what so ever. Do not waste your time porting the manifold, very little or NO PAYBACK

Joe, this is true with the 302 series engines, but Edelbrock made the 351W Air-Gap a different animal. It's just as tall as the Victor Jr, and larger inside than the standard RPM.
