If you get a picture, it would be nice. I am a few months away from mine being ready to go in...

Hey 392,
Use the AFR 205's with 80 cc exhaust if
your going the use the Paxton later.
Also where did you find the Cobra R's
in T-Bird bolt circle? (4.25) I've looked
high and low for some 17X9 but can't find
any. I also have a 93 Bird 5.0 (17,000 mile)
that am making a winter project out of.
I'm going with the 347 idea with AFR and
supercharger too. I want to retain the AC
and current accessories in car now.
Fun Car ehhh?

Hey Turbocoupe50, where did you get your motormounts? I have an 87 in desperate need of some V-8 power.

would'nt a 87 tbird be the same as the fox body mustangs, cougars? I think my 89 tbird is the first year of the mn-12 chasis and I could not find motor mounts and had to fabricate them, what a deal that was. Good Luck

oh, go to ebay and you should find them!

Yes, the 87 Bird is a fox chassis, but for some reason the Bird/Cougar have different motormounts. I wouldn't have known except my sister-in-law has an 88 Sport w/ the 302. I have gone to several parts stores and after a couple of wrong orders was told they don't make them anymore. Then I tried the junkyard route. I went to every area yard, looked under hoods, dug through piles. The Mark VII is even different. I finally found a set in an older model TBird that someone had scabbed in. But now I need a second set for a second car.
Hey tbirder, have you been to www.tccoa.com yet? They have everything you ever needed to know about MN12 chassis Birds.

Thanks, I'll check it out. If you think you had trouble finding mounts....I had to ruin the mounts and modify them from my 84 cougar donar car to put the 5.0 in.

Humm, I got all the hardware from a '87 Sport parts car. The mounts were purchased
from a local auto parts store, that was three years ago when I did the swap. Been hearing rumblings that they are getting hard to find, guess I'm have to look around for a source. Maybe I should hoard a few.

Probably the best solution would be to swap in a Mustang crossmember and use the stang mounts. It's a fair amount of work, but is a bolt in. The bird controll arms and rack will bolt into it with no problem.
