If a car turns the same ET with 1 5/8 shorties as it does with 1 3/4 long tubes, the engine is not any where built propperly to utilize the there size. My 392 stroker dynoed at 520
hp@6,000 rpms with 1 3/4, and only 495 with 1 5/8 shorties. The power curve was much broader with the LPs also, and the 1 5/8 did not develope higher HP or torque at any RPM. If you are under 375 HP, you do not want 1 3/4 primaries.
