4.6L and 5.0L MAF Sensors

I have a 4.6L engine from a 1993 Police interceptor.

I decided to try the MAF Sensor from the 4.6L on my 1990 5.0L H.O Mustang engine and see how things ran. amazingly the engine ran smooth, just like with the stock 1990 Sensor. I could not detect any change in the way the engine ran.

Does anyone here have any info regarding the use of the higher flow 4.6L sensors on the 5.0L engine?

The 4.6L sensor seems to be a much higher flow design than the stock sensor... but it's the calibration that I'm worried about. My 4.6L uses 24 Lb/hr injectors, while the 5.0L uses 19 Lb/hr... I'm wondering if I swap the injectors and sensor as a pair, if they will be calibrated correctly for the 5.0L EEC-IV.

The 4.6 Police engine uses 24 lb injectors???? The blue ones???

I use one from a '96 300 6cyl E-150 van on my '93 grand Marquis. Ran great and milage did not suffer. I switched them back because of a interminent problem that turned out to be a bad plug wire.

TurboCoupe50, No, I was incorrect... I checked them this weekend... the ones that came with that engine were orange (19Lb/Hr).
I remembered them being 24s but it was because the 24s I have were mixed in with the 4.6L intake manifold parts.
