Yes. Big business profitability went through the roof with all the cheap foreign labor. The computer boom created a lot of jobs that masked our loss of manufacturing (until all the big companies got computerized) But, after they all got 'wired' things slowed down... we saw what NAFTA was really about. Corporate Greed.

About all the politicians are lawyers and self serving crooks who have sold their souls to big business for election money. Bush/Cheney are among the worst. John McCain didn't have hardly anyone in his pockets, and would have been my first choice.... He also didn't have the money to get elected like GW did. Flipping burgers, or some other service oriented job. Most of the good jobs are getting harder and harder to find. An economy built on a 'service' base is only so strong. We sell 'entertainment'. When the going gets tough, people quit spending their money on service and entertainment.

another $0.02

Missed my main point I guess. If a company can design there own stuff, and it works as good as the US designed and built stuff OK fair game. But when you steal a design and build it overseas that is BS. These proproducts manifolds are a complete rip off of Edelbrocks design. The basicly bought an Edelbrock manifold, ground off the Edelbrock name and made their casting patterns from it.

SORRY I created this monster .. One thing I noticed in all the respones are whos at fault .. Has anyone thought of a rescue line ? A solution ? I don't believe its just corporate greed that brought all this into play ... Our auto industry was brought down in part by over inflated wages.. In the 80's our products were junk .. and it opened the door for the JAPS ..And they jumped right in and ran away with it.. Now our produts are as good or better than the offshore products but its hard for our consumers to go back ...
I really feel the AMERICAN people need to stop complaining and get out get active look at whats going on and put pressure on our government to produce results .. We have too many people and not enough jobs .. and the more products off-shored and more people comming in could lead to a total melt down of our economy and the country that was built by Americans

Well back to the topic. I looked a typhoon before I decided to go with the performer II. Ther is an abundance of casting flash in the runners. The time you take sanding and money on sanding rolls will definetly be made up in price. Just my n2o.
