hedman shorty headers 1.5?

hi i have a 1982 5.0 h.o roller carbureted mustang, i firend of me sell me a pair of hedman headers (1.5, shorty headers) that headers work good whit my mods?

stock 5.0 h.o., .060 overbore, stock e7te heads, edelbrock performer intake, holley street avenger 670 cfm, msd 6a box, blaster 2 coil, 8.8 ford racing ignition wires, E-303 camshaft, t-5 (2.95 first) 3.73 gears, electric fan.flow master mufflers

i want to remplace my stock headers and change my complety exhaust for a 2.5 diameter, because around the 5500 rpm i heard a noice, the engine doesn´t fail,

what do you think?

thanks for your post fellas.

the 1.50 headers will work just fine in either shorty's or long tube..the noise at the higher rpms may be due to pinging, (low octane fuel or excess timing)try setting your initial timing at no more then 15 degrees with the spout disconected and running 93 octane fuel..set the timing in gear at 750 rpms if its an auto and then reconnect the spout..should muy bueno..al
