torque converter stall speed

Thanks for the info. Finally someone gave me a reply which informs me of where I should have my stall speed. Now on to the gearing. To start, I have a question. How many of you have traction problems. I have heard of traction problems so bad that you can actually get a better 1/4 mile time in second gear. Is this true? Any opinions.

When you order that rear gear set, get some sticky tires as well.

BTW I have a 2600 stall Precision Industries converter in my Bird, with the Stage-1 Trick Flow cam and Twisted Wedge heads it ain't any where near enough. Since my car is basically for the street, I've lived with it. Figure it should be close for the mild 393 I'm gonna build.

I have traction problems with MY car, but I wouldn't even contemplate starting in 2nd gear.
