a9l copmuter in 94-95GT

could i simply bolt this computer into my 94 GT without any other mod's ?
or would i have to use a conversion harness (like pro-m's
computer harness for 94-95 mustangs) to make the computer work properly?

Nope... The pin out is quite a bit different, plus the newer EEC operates the electric fan, and on auto trannys it controlls the shifting.

I have installed aa9l pcm in a 95. It required an adapter harness which included an adjustable fan controller. the harness and pcm cost me 250 used, I think it came from brothers performance. performance was not noticed and finally had a custom burned chip for the stock pcm.

The pre 94 eec is a much better setup. At WOT the a9l bases spark advance solely on RPM. In 94 the WOT spark function was deleted and the car uses the same spark tables for both part throttle and WOT. Also the 94 and later eec were fitted with tip-in timing retard to take stress off the transmission during shifts, it can pull over 10deg or timing when the eec senses a shift.. both manual and auto trans cars have it.. even my 2001 lightning has it. To my knowledge this function cannot be removed on the 5.0 mustangs.. so even with a chip, from a techincal point of view the later eec will not outperform the A9l.
