Swapping engines

I have a 88 Lx Mustang and I'm swapping the EFI fourbanger for a carburated 302. And I'm having problems figuring out the electric and ignition conection; I also have a Mallory Unilite distributor that I want to use, and the instruction talk about a ballaster resistor that I think the EFI four cylinder doesn't have. Anybody has any idea how to do this?
