I am still anal about what motor I want to go with. Can someone please tell me all the mods. I will have to do inorder to put a 351W EFI in my 67 without using a hood scoop. If it is too much work I guess I will stroke a 302. Although, if all I have to do is relocate my crossmember, change motor mounts, and transmission crossmember, I will stick with a 351. Have been looking for the best efi system to go with, with either engine, what's your opinion? And, if I can't find a 351W roller engine, is the work involved in changing it to one worth it, or should I wait til I find one. Thanks

Motor mounts, crossmember location, etc, are EXACTLY the same for the 351 and 289/302. Only difference is the height of the block. The 351 block is approx 1.3" taller, and the EFI intake will be approx 1" taller than a 5.0 version. You will need 351 specific oil pan, P/S and alt brackets but about everything else is the same. The roller 351s were used in the '94-'96 F & E series.

Do you have an idea of how I will know for sure if the 351 will fit.My buddy has a 351 that I want, but before I hasle with it I want to know if it will work.I guess I will pick the shorter of the efi intakes(holly, edlebrock etc.) and go from there.

a 351w will fit because the 67 Mustang was designed to fit a 390. And thats even bigger than your 351w.

I would suspect that the 351w with EFI will clear a stock hood. My setup is a '67 Mustang with a 351w, a Vic. jr. intake, one inch spacer and holley 750 and it did not clear. I had to put a 3 inch Boss 429 style scoop on. I can't imagine an EFI setup sitting nearly as high though, but it probably depends on whose EFI setup you use. Someone out there must have the engine/efi setup you describe for comparison
