Have luggage rack on trunk led ????

I have a 1989 5.0 2dr Mustang that came with a luggage rack on the trunk led. Any one know if this was a add on by the dealer or was it a mistake by the assembly line ? [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_spongebob.gif[/img]

Does it look like this?

there are a lot of lx 5.0s, notchbacks, and verts that came w/ the luggage rack from the factory

Yeah, &amp; most of us also swap on a smooth lid off a early 'vert or 'notch to get rid of the ugly thing! i changed mine out of nessessity. Whenever it rained; the trunk would fill up with water from the poor sealing of the third brake light &amp; the umpteen million holes with pop rivets used to attatch those funky "ribs".[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_spin.gif[/img]

The pick of yer black trunk lid looks like it came of a soft top Mustang...my car is a 2dr with the rack.I did get a trunk lid that didn't have a rack[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_spongebob.gif[/img]
