T-5 problems? help

i bought a used t-5 for my 93 5.0 and put it on the car. The tranny grinds into 1st, 2nd and 3rd. if you are at a stop and shift into 4th then first or second it doesnt grind. I have an adjustable clutch cable but i tried adjusting it. when im driving it grinds first and second. Is it going to be my synchros or can it be the clutch?

Could be the clutch but if you don't solve it soon it will be the synchros. I had the same prob on my 88, it turned out that the clutch disc was installed backwards by the previous owner.

definitely check clutch adjustment first. I always liked mine coming in about mid way. It gave me a better feel for
launch. could be the sinchro's going..check D&D for a rebuild kit. Very reasonable. a T-5 isn't real hard..E
