CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

Dudes my 96 Gt arrived in melbourne Australia, after a few days the check engine light came on, is this normal (service time) or is it actually a warning, if sowhat might be going on, dont know anyone with a stang here

Could be that during shipping some gas got into the fuel system emission canister and is causing a code. Pull the codes so you can have a better idea of the prob.

Probably a warning... Better check the codes like 1Bad said....

Try just removing the positive battery terminal for about an hour. This'll reset the codes if it's not a trouble code.

Thanx QTRMILER i'll try doing that,,, does the mach 460 stereo have an anti theft/ pin number restart like the Aussie Fords do or will it just play again,,,, PS i dont have an owners handbook.

i love the Stang its a BEAST,, all i have to do now is get a new intake(old cracked) and convert the steering to the right

Don't know about the Mach460 sound system except it's really nice. The pic is the engine in my '73 Mustang street car.
