aod to t5 swap

Hello, doing a swap to a t5. The interconnect cable that goes to the ign switch that was connected to the auto shifter, what do I do with this switch? Remove it, unplug it?
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks for your time,
Jeff

When I did the T5 swap on my 92 LX, I didn't bother to remove the cable. Instead, I pushed wire cable all the way up so the ignition switch 'thinks' the shifter level is in the 'P" position all the time thus allowing me to start the engine and to be able to remove the key when engine is turned off. I also duct taped the cable wire so it doesn't wiggle its way back out.
