4.6L in a 1970 Cyclone spoiler

My brother has a 70 Cyclone spoler that had a 429/4speed combo and for reasons of insanity(and the current price of fuel) has put a 4.6L from a police crown vic in it. The problem is the wiring harness. Is there anywhere you can get a stand alone harness for the 4.6 yet. I know they make them for the 5.0's now but havent been able to find any info on one. I will post pics of the car with installed 4.6 and AOD as soon as I figure out how.

If the Cyclone came with the 429 and toploader, it would be worth $$$$$... if it was in decent shape

I'd say don't do it either. The no-torque 4.6 is going to have trouble in that large a vehicle. Curb weight on the Cyclone has to be close to the Crown Vic ... and a stock Crown Vic certainly doesn't generate much excitement in the acceleration department, especially compared to a 429 CJ.

Anyway, Western Motorsports in Calgary, Alberta, Canada is a dealer for SDS EFI systems. They have a specific stand-alone 4.6 / 5.4 modular engine kit.

That Cyclone is lighter then a crown vic for sure. He might see high 14's with a tail wind. But congrats to him I say! Going into uncharted territory is cool! All he would need is a 410/430 gear to wake it up if he ever feels the need.
